Ground Handling

Flight support companies today work on a ‘you get what we give you’ pricing model from the main ground handlers and therefore all have a very similar pricing model.

A unique knowledge of ground handling pricing will mean that we can work to develop tailored packages with our service providers to give a pricing advantage and ultimately greater selling margins than our main competitors.

Customer requirements dictate the scope of ramp handling services from an extensive menu of options that includes loading and off-loading, dispatch operations, load control, management of unit load devices, baggage reconciliation, coordination with flights and documentation. Our resource management system, matches equipment and crew resources to fluctuating needs, ensuring high-levels of response to all supported customers. Seamless interface with other airport operations -- movement control center, fuel providers, caterers, security and more -- ensure each aircraft turnaround is complete and fully compliant with all established procedures and service standards.

With a variety of fixed & mobile ground handling equipment as well as sophisticated motorized vehicles, our chosen handlers are ready to service any type of cargo or passenger aircraft. We cover Code A - F aircraft and ensure to maintain fixed and mobile ground handling equipment, as well as motorized vehicle fleets. The trained ramp operations teams are trained to service any type of passenger or cargo aircraft, including the world’s largest passenger jet, the Airbus A380, and the giant Antonov AN225 for oversized cargo.

Adhoc.aero offers a fixed menu of services for TURNAROUND handling of aircraft, be it Passenger aircraft, Freighters or General Aviation aircraft which is available in the table below.

Key Services in Aircraft Ground Handling

1. Passenger Services: Ground handling support begins the moment passengers disembark or board an aircraft. This includes check-in services, gate services, baggage handling, and assisting passengers with special needs.

2. Aircraft Marshalling: Aircraft marshalling is the process of guiding an aircraft to and from the gate using a marshaller or ground crew. Accurate marshalling prevents collisions and ensures the aircraft is positioned properly for fueling, maintenance, or departure.

3. Baggage Handling: Ground handling includes the efficient loading and unloading of baggage, cargo, and mail. Proper baggage handling ensures that all luggage is delivered to the correct destination, preventing lost bags and delays.

4. Fueling Services: Aircraft fueling is a critical aspect of ground support services. Ensuring that aircraft are fueled to the correct levels, according to flight plans and regulations, is essential for safe operations. Fueling companies must adhere to strict safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination.

5. Aircraft Cleaning and Cabin Services: Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment inside the aircraft is essential for passenger satisfaction. Ground handling teams are responsible for cleaning the cabin, replenishing supplies, and preparing the aircraft for the next flight.

6. Maintenance and Inspection: Routine maintenance and inspections are performed while the aircraft is on the ground. This can include minor repairs, system checks, or preparation for the next flight. Ensuring that the aircraft is mechanically sound and fully operational is key to preventing flight delays and accidents.

7. Ground Power and Air Conditioning: Aircraft require power and cooling when parked on the ground. Ground support teams provide external power units and air conditioning systems to maintain the aircraft's systems until it is ready to depart.

8. Deicing Services: In colder climates, deicing is crucial to ensure the aircraft's wings, engines, and other critical surfaces are free from ice buildup. Deicing prevents safety hazards and delays caused by icy conditions.
